£1 million upgrade for Rotherham pavements and footways
Rotherham Borough Council has allocated the sum in its highways budget alongside £10 million for road improvements as part of the 2020 Roads Programme.
Cllr Emma Hoddinott, the council’s cabinet member for waste, roads and community safety, inspected some of the works underway on Clarence Street in Dinnington.

“But residents also tell us that they are worried about the state of some of our pavements.
“Poor quality pavements affect those with mobility problems and those dependent on wheelchairs so in some places these will be really important improvements.”
