Plans for Masbrough Street car wash to become charging station

Motor Fuel Group has submitted proposals for Masbrough Service Station, on Masbrough Street.

Agent Rahma Dwimunali, of planning consultants CarneySweeney, said the move should be seen as positive in light of the growing need for infrastructure to support electric vehicle use across the UK.

She added: “The proposals would contribute positively to the existing EV charging network, to the benefit of those utilising the strategic highway network surrounding the application site.

“The proposals will enhance the existing offer at the service station, without compromising the efficient operation of the facility.”
