M1 and M18 link closed tonight for roadworks

The northbound carriageway of the M1 from junction 32 at Thurcroft to junction 33 at Catcliffe will be fully closed overnight tonight and tomorrow and then again on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night for structure maintenance work.

The M18 to M1 northbound link road will also be shut.

Highways England said the closures would take place between 8pm and 6am, with clearly diversion routes in place. 

The northbound carriageway will also have two lanes closed on Saturday and Sunday from 6am to 8pm, for structure maintenance work.

The works are part of a year-long project which will include resurfacing, bridge and lighting improvements as well as barrier and drainage work.

The southbound entry slip road at M1 junction 33 (Catcliffe) will be fully closed overnight on Thursday for technology work. 

The closure will be in place from 9pm until 6am.
