Theft arrests across the borough

POLICE efforts to keep the borough’s car and houses safe by encouraging home owners and motorists to secure their property have led to a series of arrests.

Seven suspected thieves, who were rounded up by officers working as part of South Yorkshire Police’s Operation Lockdown, appeared at Rotherham Magistrates Court last week.

Their arrests came as part of the operation which has seen officers travelling around the borough checking the security of cars and houses.
