Teenager arrested after cyclist killed in Masbrough crash

A CYCLIST has died after being in collision with a car at a junction last night.

Emergency services were called to the A630 Centenary Way at the junction with Main Street at around 8pm on Thursday.

An orange BMW 1 Series was involved in a collision at the traffic lights and the cyclist, believed to be in his 20s, suffered fatal injuries.

A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released under investigation as enquiries continues.

An air ambulance attended the scene and a spokeswoman said its crews did carry out treatment at the scene but the man died of his injuries.
