Talks to map out future of Rotherham

TOWN centre shopkeepers and businesses are being invited to have their say on the future of Rotherham at a meering next week.

TOWN centre shopkeepers and businesses are being invited to have their say on the future of Rotherham at a meeting next week.

Retailers’ group ACT for Rotherham and the town’s Chamber of Commerce have invited all town centre businesess to an open meeting next Wednesday.

The meeting takes place at the Pantry Green cafe in Red Lion Yard at 5pm for a 5.30pm start.

How could Rotherham town centre be revitalised?  Use the "write a comment" button to leave your views.

 Agenda items will include ideas from businesses on how to use All Saints’ Square and the area in the outdoor market to increase footfall and promote local businesses.  

Such events would be led by businesses with help from ACT for Rotherham,.

A spokeswoman for the group said: “This is your opportunity to work with other businesses to promote your goods and services, whilst giving people a reason to visit Rotherham town centre.  

“If you have an idea to promote your business, we would love to hear it and work with you.

“There will also be updates from Rotherham Borough Council in terms of what will be happening in our town in terms of events and regeneration.

“This is your opportunity to give your feedback to ourselves, the Chamber of Commerce and the council.
