Take a penalty and 'Make it Better'

FOOTBALL fans will be able to test out their penalty-taking skills at Parkgate this weekend.

Rotherham United Community Sports Trust (RUCST) is running a charity penalty shootout at Parkgate Shopping from 11am to 3pm on Saturday.

It’s all in aid of Sheffield Children’s Hospital’s Make It Better Day.

Billy Smith, operations manager at Parkgate, said: “It is great to be using all the local interest and enthusiasm sparked by the Millers’ promotion to support this very worthy cause, and the day promises to be action-packed as well as great fun.

“In view of the nature of Rotherham's victory in the play-off, what better way to raise money than through a penalty shoot-out.”

All the money raised from Make it Better Day will support the Make it Better appeal, which aims to raise £20 million for improvements to the children’s hospital.
