Swinton Heritage hits YouTube

A HISTORY group has launched the first in a series of videos about the area on the Internet site YouTube.

Swinton Heritage group has posted its first video which gives a brief history of Swinton’s medieval town cross.

The video was filmed in 2009 when a new descriptive plaque was installed.

Group member Cllr Ken Wyatt said: “We have quite a library of films of various local events, historical features talks and tours along with our full length films of various aspects of Yorkshire history.

“We hope to post many more clips from our film stock to show the world just what a rich and fascinating heritage exists in our locality.”
