Cllr Stuart Sansome said: “We got off to a good start with our event receiving sponsorship from Community Union and Lime Personal Injury but it was the support of local businesses and the generosity of individuals which helped make the evening such as success.

“£2,070 is a fantastic amount of money to raise and we are very grateful to everybody who contributed.”

Cllr Ken Wyatt added: “It was a really enjoyable evening and everyone attending seemed to have a good time regardless of them winning or not.

“We also wanted to keep the funds we raised very local to good causes within our community.”
