Still time to nominate your hero for Rotherham community awards

TIME is running out to put forward an unsung local hero or organisation which has made a difference for an award.

The deadline for nominations for the Rotherham Community Achievement Awards is just over a week away, on  Friday, August 26.

Organised by Voluntary Action Rotherham on behalf of the Rotherham Partnership, the annual awards celebrate the work of people and projects in the voluntary and community sector.

There are three categories you can nominate people or organisations for —Volunteer, Young Volunteer (under 25) or Project.

Those shortlisted will be invited to a glittering awards ceremony and dinner at the Carlton Park Hotel in November.
