Rotherham slimmers lose pounds and gain prizes

THREE lucky Reshape Rotherham slimmers were drawn out of the hat to win football tickets, a makeover and gym membership.

The free weight loss programme, run by Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, ran a star for the day competition earlier this year.

Catherine Froggatt, of Mexborough — who lost 1.5st — won the makeover and photoshoot. She said: “It was a really pleasant surprise. It’s not often I find time to be pampered.”

Charles Jeffcoate won tickets to see the Millers. He said: “I really enjoyed the course and now cook healthier meals. I certainly didn’t expect to win anything.”

Raymond Taylor was referred following increases in his insulin and weight. He said: “Because of this, I’ve been able to greatly reduce my insulin doses. It was extremely useful to be monitored and advised each week.

“Reshape Rotherham is an excellent programme and I would recommend it to anyone.”

Weight management team leader Alyson Fedak congratulated the winners and thanked the sponsors.

She said: “We are really proud to report that 88 per cent of people attending Reshape lose weight.

“At Reshape, we encourage people to eat a balanced diet and still have those little treats, everything in moderation.”
