Rotherham set for heat wave

RESIDENTS in Rotherham are set to feel the heat as summer-like conditions are predicted for the region later this week.

Met Office officials are forecasting that Thursday (October 1) and Friday (October 2) will have temperatures that soar to 17 degrees centigrade around South Yorkshire.

Thursday is due to have a foggy start before the sun breaks through while Friday is predicted to be hot and sunny all day.

The heat wave is set to continue in to next week with average temperatures of 16 degrees centigrade.
