Rotherham roadworks warning

MOTORISTS in the south of Rotherham are being warned of roadworks on major routes through the district in the coming months.

Essential gas works are due to start next Tuesday, May 3, at North Anston on the B6060 Nursery Road at its junction with Woodsetts Road.

Portable traffic light signals will be operating at the scene.

These will be manually controlled to help to minimise delays at peak traffic periods between 7am and 9.30am, and 3pm and 6pm through the duration of the works, which are being carried out by National Grid Gas and are expected to take three weeks.

Once the gas works have been completed, Rotherham Borough Council intends to resurface parts of the B6060 Nursery Road.

This work will take place during the school holidays.
