Rotherham remembers
SILENCE fell on Rotherham paused to pay its respects to those who fell in the line of duty during a series of Remembrance Sunday events across the borough.
Hundreds of people gathered for the town’s annual parade and wreath-laying at Clifton Park’s war memorial as representatives from the military joined the Royal British Legion and civic leader to observe a two minutes’ silence.
The Mayor of Rotherham, Cllr Rose McNeely, was joined by representatives from Rotherham’s twin town, St Quentin in France, who were visiting to mark a 20-year union with the town.
