Rotherham moves up economic prospects league table

A RANKING of UK towns and cities based on economic growth prospects has seen Rotherham rise nine places to 56th.

The vitality index by property consultants Lambert Smith Hampton provides a health check of economies outside London.

Leeds also went up nine places, to 51st, while York jumped 12 places to 28th. Cambridge leads the league thanks to its reputation as a hub of science excellence and significant inward investment.
