Rotherham Mayor Maggi Clark thrilled by Bluebell Wood visit

MAYOR Maggi Clark said she was blown away by the enthusiasm of staff and families after visiting Bluebell Wood.

She and consort Peter toured the children’s hospice grounds and watched sensory therapy sessions.

Cllr Clark said: “We have been absolutely overwhelmed with the enthusiasm, love and support that Bluebell Wood has.

“It’s such a friendly, welcoming and open space which is full of life. The staff are fantastic and very dedicated.”

Claire Rintoul, chief executive at the North Anston charity, said: “It’s really important for us to ensure people visit us and see that Bluebell Wood is filled with love and laughter.

“The money our incredible communities raise really does make a huge difference.

“We are here to provide the very best specialist support for children and their families facing the toughest of times.”

The hospice’s open day takes place on September 20.
