Rotherham man admits rapes

A 25-year-old man has admitted attacking three women and raping a teenage girl.

Nicholas Totty, of Newman Road, Rotherham, appeared at Sheffield Crown Court today  where he pleaded guilty to four counts of rape, wounding with intent, assault with intent to commit a sexual offence and attempting to cause grievous bodily harm.

A police spokeswoman said: “The charges relate to attacks on two women in Herringthorpe Valley Road and in Moorgate, Rotherham, on Friday, September 27 and a series of rapes and an assault at a house in Rotherham on Saturday, September 28.”

Totty was remanded into custody and is due to be sentenced on Tuesday, December 17 at Sheffield Crown Court.
