Rotherham above average for child vaccinations

Immunisation uptake for Rotherham’s under-fives has beaten targets—and topped the national average—across the board.

An average of more than 90 per cent of infants were given the six separate batches of shots, including diptheria, tetanus and MMR.

An NHS Rotherham report said: “As a result of the work undertaken and improvement in data quality, uptake has increased significantly, with all Vital Sign targets for the childhood immunisation programme being met.”
