TWO women shop assistants were left terrified after masked robbers stormed into a Mexborough shop.

Cash was snatched from a till as two men wearing balaclavas raided the Spa supermarket on Hirstgate.

Police are now appealing for information about the alleged robbery, which happened on Wednesday January 13 at around 8.30pm.

The men went behind the sales counter and forced the till open, taking the contents before leaving the shop. No one was injured.

One of the suspects is described as a white man around 5ft 6in tall and of a medium build.

He was wearing a brown and green camouflage hooded jacket and a black balaclava. The other man is described as white between 5ft 2 and 5ft 6in tall and of a small thin build. He was wearing a dark coloured hooded fleece jacket.
