ROTHERHAM Council’s efforts to empower residents in social housing has been praised by a national tenant engagement organisation.

The authority has been awarded “exemplar” status with Tpas, which lasts two years and makes recommendations for further improvements.

The status follows three Tpas accreditations and RMBC is only the third housing provider in the country to achieve that level.
