Gun raid court case delayed until June

THREE men from Rotherham who were due to go before the Crown Court over firearms offences today have seen their appearance postponed until the summer.

The men — 29-year-old Robert Webb, 30-year-old David Webb and 31-year-old Natale Lala — are accused of firearms offences following raids at Moorgate Road, South Crescent and Whitelee Road in Rotherham last July.

This is in connection with a South Yorkshire Police and National Crime Agency investigation into organised criminality.

But the case — due to go before Sheffield Crown Court this morning — has now been put off until June, when a trial date has been provisionally set.

Two other defendants - Maria Lala and Simon Burrows - were earlier cleared of all charges relating the raids.
