Deal agreed for Wath’s former Oaks day centre site

The building in Wath supported adults with learning disabilities until it was closed by Rotherham Council in 2018.

Hoober Homes’ plans for 29 properties were approved by RMBC in May.

Now an agreement has confirmed mitigation measures including £14,500 towards sustainable transport and £56,091 for secondary education in Wath.

Seven properties will be allocated for social housing and a management company set up to maintain the land’s green space.
