Court order for thief aged 15

A TEENAGER from Eastwood has been handed a community order after admitting trespassing and theft.

The 15 year-old appeared at Rotherham Youth Court last Thursday charged with trespassing at Atlantic Fish Bar and stealing £490.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was given a youth rehabilitation order with intensive supervision and surveillance made.

The youth, who was accompanied by his father at court, was also placed on an 18 week curfew.

His father was told to pay £400 compensation, a £15 victim surcharge, and £50 costs following the offence, which happened between January 31 and February 2.
