A CHARITY which drums-up funds for children's play schemes and activities is on the lookout for more volunteers.

Rotherham Time 4 Play is run by a small committee of volunteers who raise money for a programme of activities for children and young people with disabilities.

The team holds a monthly meeting and is asking for volunteers to join them and help to co-ordinate 2010’s events.

Chairman Jayne Newall said: “We don’t expect everyone to come to every meeting but if you can spare an hour or so to share your ideas that would be great.”

Among the activities that have taken place this year, the charity has supported a successful Reach Summer Play Scheme, which included activities at Rother Valley Country Park.

The team also joined forces with Rotherham Borough Council's Children and Young People's Service under the banner of the Elephant's In-step Club, based at the International Centre in Kimberworth Park.

The Elephant's In-step Club hosts monthly themed club nights and has also provided residential breaks to Filey as well as an Arts Week during the summer.
