PHOTO GALLERY: Pride in Rotherham's Diversity

THE sun shone on Clifton Park as thousands of people celebrated diversity at the fourth annual Rotherham Pride event.

Dozens of acts took to the park’s bandstand on Saturday and performed to a colourful crowd as people donned different colours for this year’s Festival of Colour theme.

Singer Stevie Moore, band Swansong and drag queen MC Gina Tina were among those who kept the crowds entertained.

The LGBT community mingled with families of different cultures from across the borough, including members of the Roma community.

Rotherham’s Deputy Mayor Cllr Eve Rose Keenan and her Consort Pat Keenan also attended the event — organised by LGBT group Pride of Rotherham, which draws its membership from various backgrounds and organisations aiming to promote and celebrate the lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans community across the borough.
