UKIP and Respect battle to be main Rotherham by-election challenger

UKIP and Respect are neck-and-neck in the fight to be Labour’s biggest threat in tomorrow’s Rotherham by-election, according to the latest odds.

While Labour’s Sarah Champion is 6/1 on, UKIP’s Jane Collins and Respect representative Yvonne Ridley were both priced at 6/1 this morning.

English Democrat David Wildgoose is 33/1, while both Tory candidate Simon Wilson and Ralph Dyson of the Trade Union and Socialist Coalition are 80/1.

Bringing up the rear in those priced up are Michael Beckett (Lib Dem) at 125/1 and the BNP’s Marlene Guest at 250/1, while independents Clint Bristow, Simon Copley and Paul Dickson have not been given running odds.
