Rotherham Council’s legal chief moving on

ROTHERHAM Borough Council’s top lawyer has left her post.

A council spokeswoman confirmed that Jacqueline Collins, the authority’s head of legal and democratic services, has “chosen to leave the council”.

She added: “She will officially leave her position as director of legal and democratic services on July 31, but as she has some annual leave due, she actually left last week.”

Ms Collins has also served as legal advisor to the South Yorkshire Police and Crime Panel and returning officer for May’s general and local council elections.
