Rotherham CAB wins share of Coalfield funding

ROTHERHAM'S troubled Citizens' Advice Bureau has been given a funding boost

Rotherham CAB has received a share of £200,000 in Coalfield Regeneration Funding which has been issued to centres in South Yorkshire.

Annette Cassam, chief executive of Rotherham CAB, said: “This funding lets us and our partner organisations continue with our important advice work in these communities.

“We've been through a difficult time at the bureau recently but we've managed to keep the service going.”

The advice that the CRT Funding originally included debt based advice but expanded to “generous advice” which covers employment and work.

Mrs Cassam said: “This is further recognition of the vital role we play in some of our more disadvantaged communities in the Rotherham area.”

Areas that the fund targets include Wath, Rawmarsh, Maltby and Swinton.
