Newly-qualified teacher recognized for outstanding work

A NEWLY-qualified teacher at a primary school has been recognised for her good work – with particular praise for the way she coped with the Covid pandemic.

​Millie Baldwin, teacher at Anston Greenlands Primary School, received a certificate from the National Teaching Awards after being “highly commended” and classed as an “outstanding new teacher”.

Despite the struggles of remote teaching during the pandemic, Ms Baldwin was able to adapt to all the required changes and make the best of her new career.

Head teacher Alex Wirth was full of praise, saying: “Millie has been such an asset to our staff since she joined us as a newly-qualified teacher three years ago.

"She’s gone from strength to strength, and we're delighted to have her as part of our team.”
