“Incredible” support workers in running for awards

SUPPORT workers and team members who help people with learning disabilities, mental health and autism to live full and independent lives in Rotherham have been shortlisted for regional awards.

Horizon Care, based at Dinnington, has four nominations in the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Awards, part of the Great British Care Awards.

Dawn Cadwell and Oluwakemi Alamu have been shortlisted in the Support Worker category, Carrie Le-Billon for Supported Living Manager, while the Horizon Care Team are nominated for the Housing With Care Award.

Manager Carrie Le-Billion said: “I am so excited for the team.

“I feel really proud – they do incredible work and thoroughly deserve this recognition.

“The award nominations rightly recognises the team and staff for their commitment to enabling people to live independently. “

The finalists will find out if they have been crowned winners for their respective awards at the Great British Care Awards Regional Finals in York in November.
