‘Heavenly’ girl with a mission

A GIRL described by her mum as “a gift from heaven” due to her sunny outlook can hail her fundraiser as a huge success after raising more than £1,600.

Four-year-old Scarlett Aylward, of Thrybergh, had her long hair cut for Little Princess Trust, a charity providing wigs for children going through cancer treatments.

Friends and family gathered at the Aylwards’ home to support the little girl in her mission to help those less fortunate, with dad Simon doing the honours.

Scarlett’s mum, Kirstie, said an online raffle and donations on the day had added £1,003 to her online total of £600.
