Fundraiser in memory of councillor Karl
A CHARITY night to raise funds is being held in memory of a Rotherham councillor who died tragically last year.
Karl Barton was the Labour councillor for Wales ward in Rotherham when he died in June last year at the age of 45 from a heart aneurysm, just four months before he was due to be married.
Paramedics attending the scene attempted to revive him at his Kiveton home, but he was pronounced dead on arrival at Rotherham Hospital.

Hide AdThe evening in aid of Sheffield Children’s Hospital promises to be an all-round night of entertainment, featuring an 80s party show duo, guitarists and a comedian.
Doors open at Wales Jubilee Social Club on School Road, Wales at 7pm on Wednesday, April 25.
Entry is £1 and all proceeds from the evening will go to Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
