Fund-raising goal for Rotherham Hospice

WOULD-be soccer stars are being urged to get their boots on in aid of a good cause.

The Rotherham Hospice is inviting local teams to get kitted out for its five-a-side football tournament and fun day on Sunday at Firth Rixon Aurora in Brinsworth.

The tournament is open to anyone over the age of 16, while families are welcome to come along and watch.

As well as the football itself, there will be a bouncy castle, raffles, BBQ and a bar.

It costs £25 per team to enter and players are being encouraged to try to raise sponsorship money in any way they can.

The tournament will be refereed by officials from the Sheffield and Hallamshire FA and rules of the tournament will be given to the team captains on the day.
