Colour change helps children’s hospice

PUPILS at Wath Primary dressed in purple to support Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

They ditched the usual red uniform to raise money and headteacher Paul Beevor said everyone had been touched by the charity’s work.

“That’s why we wanted to help,” he added. “We’re looking forward to making a donation to Bluebell Wood.

“It’s a small contribution but it’s important to us that the children have an understanding of their place in the community and that they can do things that make changes.”

Ruth Wallbank, Bluebell Wood’s regional fundraising manager, added: “It was lovely to see them all taking part, and they definitely put the ‘fun’ into fundraising.”
