Charity ball raises £45,000

THE organisers behind a popular annual charity ball are celebrating another bumper year following an evening of entertainment featuring music legends.

Soul men The Drifters headlined the event at Magna on Saturday, which brought in thousands of pounds for Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity.

Ventriloquist Paul Zerdin provided the laughs, while singer Chris Edwards and party band The Bootleggers had guests up dancing.
