Charities offered cheap market stalls

MARKET operators are welcoming charities to occupy their stalls for a fund-raiser that they hope will become an annual event.

Free selling space is being offered to the borough’s charities by the team at Dinnington Market as part of the special charity day which is set to take place between 9am and 1pm on May 18.

Regular, commercial stallholders are being invited to pay just £3 for their stalls.

Market manager Stephen Borkowski said: “We really wanted to help charities with an event which wouldn’t really cost them anything to be involved in.

“Hopefully it will prove a success and something that we can do every year.”

Demand for stalls has already been high, with Stephen securing early interested from Bluebell Wood Hospice, The British Heart Foundation, The Salvation Army and Cancer Research UK.
