Champ chips in to help Mexborough charity night

TWICE world darts champion Dennis “The Menace” Priestley is set to host a variety night in aid of Cancer Research UK.

The 62-year-old Mexborough-born darts star, who suffered his own battle with prostate cancer, was inspired to take part in the event after organiser Grant Harris told him about the fund-raiser he was planning in memory of four family members.

Grant, of Swinton, has lost his grandmother, two aunts and a cousin to cancer in the past 18 months and was determined to help Cancer Research UK in its battle to find a cure for the disease.
