Pensioner injured in mobility scooter crash

A PENSIONER is in a “life-threatening” condition in hospital after a mobility scooter crash.

The 66-year-old woman was riding her black Monarch scooter on Oldgate Lane, Thrybergh at around 12.15pm on Wednesday, January 13, when it was involved in a collision at the junction with Doncaster Road.

She was taken to hospital with serious injuries but police have now described her condition as “life-threatening.”

Police said no other vehicle is believed to have been involved in the collision.

Anyone with any information or who was in the Oldgate Lane area between noon and 12.20pm on January 13 to get in touch.
