PACK OF DOGS ATTACK COLLIE

A PACK of dogs left a Collie badly hurt after they launched an attack as it was walked by its 15-year-old owner, police have revealed.

Officers are now trying to trace the owner of the six Japanese Akita-type dogs which attacked as the teenager walked through a field off Sheffield Road, Conisbrough, at around 3.30pm on May 4.

A police spokeswoman said: “Those dogs were being walked by a thin white man in his 30s, who is described as being 5ft 11ins or six feet tall.

“The collie dog was badly hurt and had to undergo emergency treatment. The schoolgirl was also distressed by the incident.”

Witnesses, or anyone with information about the attack should contact on 101, quoting incident number 778 of May 4.
