One year on from Tommy Ward attack
POLICE are carrying out more door-to-door enquiries in Maltby ahead of the anniversary of Tommy Ward being attacked.
The 80-year-old former soldier was found with life-threatening injuries at home on October 1 last year. He died in hospital nearly five months later.
A police spokesman said: “This week, there have been officers in and around the community, carrying out house-to-house enquiries and offering reassurance.”
Three men remain on bail in connection with the ongoing murder investigation.
