New Year honour for Rother Valley MP Kevin Barron
FIVE hard-working and dedicated Rotherham residents have been recognised for their achievements with MBEs or BEMs, while MP Kevin Barron has been handed a knighthood.
James Moore was awarded the British Empire Medal for services to the community in Bramley, while hospital fundraiser Kath Copp gets an MBE.
MBEs were also awarded to Zaidah Ahmed and Zanib Rasool for services to the community in Rotherham and to senior civil servant Alison Middleton, for services to education.
