New stalls planned in Rotherham market extension
BRITAIN’S best market will be expanded in Rotherham town centre if plans are approved next week.
The town’s street market won the National Association of British Market Authorities award for the country’s best earlier this year.
Plans have now been drawn up by the council to allow the street market to be extended onto Upper Millgate and the top of Bridgegate, incorporating a fresh produce section.
A report will be presented to councillors next week asking for £6,500 from the council’s regeneration budget for eight new stalls.
