Chamber President Chris MacCormac said: "This is a new era for the Chamber as we unveil our structure for the future.

“We are delighted that Andrew is the person who will lead the Chamber for the benefit for our members, local companies and the business communities of Barnsley and Rotherham as a whole.

“Our former chief executive, John Lewis will continue his outstanding contribution to the Chamber network by working on planning and preparation for the formalisation of a federal South Yorkshire Chambers of Commerce collaboration, which will provide stability and operational capability as part of the Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs).”

Andrew said: “As with all businesses, this is a challenging time for the Chamber.
