Motorcyclist critical after collision

A MOTORCYCLIST is in a critical condition in hospital after he reportedly collided with a parked car.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which occurred on April 17 at around 3.10pm.

It is reported that a white Honda XR125 motorcycle and a silver Ford Focus that was parked in Hanover Street, Thurnscoe, were in collision near to the junction with Hanover Square and Grange Street.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 27-year-old man, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said on Tuesday that the motorcyclist was in a critical but stable condition in hospital.

Nobody was in the Focus at the time of the incident.

Witnesses to the collision should call South Yorkshire Police quoting incident number 588 of April 17.
