Memories of Rawmarsh baths wanted

ALMOST ten years after its demolition, a project is being launched to collect your stories about Rawmarsh Baths.

Apart from being a swimming baths, the pool could be boarded over to double up as a dance, concert of wedding venue or a wrestling ring.

Development project Signposts is looking for material for a possible book about the true life adventures of Rawmarsh Baths users.

To kick things off there will be a free “story swap” meeting at Rawmarsh Library on Saturday, October 23 at 10.30am, for folk to reminisce.

Core projects manager Geoff Briggs said: “We’d love to see you so come and tell us your tales.”
