Man taken to hospital after shop floor collapse

Emergency services were called to The Denim House, High Street, Mexborough, at around 11.10am on Friday.

Police said part of floor collapsed and a man in his 50s fell around 8ft.

He has been taken to hospital by ambulance with a shoulder injury.

When The Advertiser contacted The Denim House for comment, a spokesman confirmed the incident had taken place but said he was not able to comment further.
