Man dies after being crushed by tipper truck
The 60-year-old had surgery after being seriously injured in the incident last Tuesday morning.
It happened at the former Croda tar distillery site, off Carlisle Street in Kilnhurst, where a new housing estate is being built.

Hide AdSouth Yorkshire Police and the Health and Safety Executive have launched a joint investigation.
Resident John Cavill (65), of nearby Newsam Road, said: “I was out walking the dog in the morning and came across this lorry which had overturned.
“It was quite a sight and there were bobbies all over the place.”
A police spokeswoman said: “An investigation has been launched following an incident at around 8.45am on Tuesday, September 17, at a building site in Kilnhurst.

Hide Ad“A 60-year-old man was injured when a goods lorry is believed to have overturned. The man was taken to hospital, but he sadly passed away on Tuesday.”
The vehicle belongs to Sirius, which is reclaiming the land for Gleeson Homes.
An HSE spokeswoman confirmed that an investigation had been launched.
