Life sentence for stabbing killer

A MAN and a woman have been jailed for their part in the murder of a 44-year-old man in Rotherham.

George Dunn, known to many as Jock, died of multiple stab wounds as a result of an attack at the couple’s East Herringthorpe flat in May this year.

Following a trial at Sheffield Crown Court earlier this month, Mark Stocks (40), of Greenfield Road, was found guilty of murder.

His then girlfriend Donna Haylock (45), of the same address, was found guilty of perverting the course of justice.

They both appeared at Sheffield Crown Court on Thursday, when Stocks was sentenced to life for the murder, with a minimum of 19 years, and four years for cultivation of cannabis. The sentences are to run concurrently.

Haylock was sentenced to three years for perverting the course of justice and two years for the cultivation of cannabis, to run consecutively.
