Land Rover clue after man breaks back in Rotherham crash

POLICE want to trace a driver who was at the scene of a crash which left a 27-year-old man fighting for life.

The motorist — believed to have been driving a dark coloured Land Rover Freelander — is reported to have stopped briefly at the scene.

The 27-year-old remains in hospital with a fractured spine and a bleed on the brain after the incident between Oldcotes and Tickhill last Friday afternoon.

He is believed to have lost control after a black hatchback overtook a Citroen Picasso heading in the other direction on Worksop Road.

Three other people were injured. Police also wish to trace the hatchback driver. Anyone with information is urged to call 101, quoting incident 690 of January 25.
