Joshua set for charity concert

AN ASPIRING singer will perform a concert of light classical and songs from the shows for charity.

Joshua Takacs, from Mexborough, is currently studying music at Birmingham Conservatoire.

The 22-year-old and friends will perform at Swinton’s St John’s Church on Saturday, April 10, with proceeds going to Rotherham Hospice.

“It’s a musical evening, a mixture of old favourites and some songs people might have forgotten,” said Joshua’s mum Lynn.

Previously, Joshua was a member of the National Youth Choir, and studied with Barbara Senior. Before beginning his studies in the Midlands, he was an active member of Mexborough choir Bel Canto.
